    Makie

    Makie

Interactive data visualizations and plotting in Julia

Makie is an interactive data visualization and plotting ecosystem for the Julia programming language, available on Windows, Linux, and Mac. The backend packages GLMakie, WGLMakie, CairoMakie and RPRMakie add different functionalities: You can use Makie to interactively explore your data and create simple GUIs in native Windows or web browsers, export high-quality vector graphics or even raytrace with physically accurate lighting. Choose one or more backend packages: GLMakie (interactive...

    CoordinateTransformations.jl

    CoordinateTransformations.jl

A fresh approach to coordinate transformations

CoordinateTransformations is a Julia package to manage simple or complex networks of coordinate system transformations. Transformations can be easily applied, inverted, composed, and differentiated (both with respect to the input coordinates and with respect to transformation parameters such as rotation angle). Transformations are designed to be light-weight and efficient enough for, e.g., real-time graphical applications, while support for both explicit and automatic differentiation makes...

    JUDI.jl

    JUDI.jl

    Julia Devito inversion

JUDI is a framework for large-scale seismic modeling and inversion and is designed to enable rapid translations of algorithms to fast and efficient code that scales to industry-size 3D problems. The focus of the package lies on seismic modeling as well as PDE-constrained optimization such as full-waveform inversion (FWI) and imaging (LS-RTM). Wave equations in JUDI are solved with Devito, a Python domain-specific language for automated finite-difference (FD) computations. JUDI's modeling...

    GMT.jl

    GMT.jl

Generic Mapping Tools Library Wrapper for Julia

The Generic Mapping Tools, GMT, is an open source collection of tools for manipulating geographic and Cartesian data sets (including filtering, trend fitting, gridding, projecting, etc.) and producing PostScript illustrations ranging from simple x–y plots via contour maps to artificially illuminated surfaces and 3D perspective views. This link will take you to an impressive collection of figures made with GMT. The GMT Julia wrapper was designed to work in a way the close as possible to the...

    Luxor

    Luxor

Simple drawings using vector graphics; Cairo "for tourists!"

Luxor is a Julia package for drawing simple static 2D vector graphics. It provides basic drawing functions and utilities for working with shapes, polygons, clipping masks, PNG and SVG images, turtle graphics, and simple animations. The focus of Luxor is on simplicity and ease of use: it should be easier to use than plain Cairo.jl, with shorter names, fewer underscores, default contexts, and simplified functions. For more complex and sophisticated graphics in 2D and 3D, Makie.jl is the best...

    Rotations.jl

    Rotations.jl

Julia implementations for different rotation parameterizations

3D rotations made easy in Julia. This package implements various 3D rotation parameterizations and defines conversions between them. At their heart, each rotation parameterization is a 3×3 unitary (orthogonal) matrix (based on the StaticArrays.jl package), and acts to rotate a 3-vector about the origin through matrix-vector multiplication. While the RotMatrix type is a dense representation of a 3×3 matrix, we also have sparse (or computed, rather) representations such as quaternions,...

    Tokenize.jl

    Tokenization for Julia source code

Tokenize is a Julia package that serves a similar purpose and API as the tokenize module in Python but for Julia. This is to take a string or buffer containing Julia code, perform lexical analysis and return a stream of tokens.

    OpticSim.jl

    OpticSim.jl

    Optical Simulation software

...Unlike Zemax, Code V, or other interactive optical design systems OpticSim.jl has limited support for interactivity, primarily in the tools for visualizing optical systems. A large variety of surface types are supported, and these can be composed into complex 3D objects through the use of constructive solid geometry (CSG). A complete catalog of optical materials is provided through the complementary GlassCat submodule. This software provides extensive control over the modelling, simulation, visualization and optimization of optical systems. It is especially suited for designs that have a procedural architecture.

    RayTracer.jl

    RayTracer.jl

    Differentiable RayTracing in Julia

This package was written in the early days of Flux / Zygote. Both these packages have significantly improved over time. Unfortunately, the current state of this package of has not been updated to reflect those improvements. It also seems that it might be better to gradually transition to defining the adjoints directly using ChainRules. A Ray Tracer written completely in Julia. This allows us to leverage the AD capabilities provided by Zygote to differentiate through the Ray Tracer.
