This is a console application but also has an optional GUI interface. Converts a BMP with 256 colors or less into the Sixel format. Sixel supports a maximum of 256 colors although many terminals only support 16 colors. If your BMP has more than 256 colors, or fewer colors but uses greater than 8 bits per pixel, reduce the color count using a program like IrfanView and "Decrease Color Depth". This program and its older brother PCX2SIX (circa 1995) are responsible for many of the Sixel images floating around the internet today. The original BMP2SIX program written April 2001, now is updated to compile under PellesC, and provides a GUI interface. Balloon.css lets you add tooltips to elements without JavaScript and in just a few lines of CSS. By default, tooltips will always remain single-line no matter their length. If for some reason you do not want animations in your tooltips, you can use the data-balloon-blunt attribute for that. If you want to show tooltips even when user interaction isn't happening, you can simply use the data-balloon-visible attribute. the package chewingum contains two main programs: - base62 - chew They have been implemented in perl. Base62 has been coded in c++ too. chew has been written to shorten long decimal integer numbers into base62 strings. It's not a mere base conversion, because it doesn't use arithmetic inside its logic. In this way it can convert very long numbers into strings quickly, without overflows. For example if I want to share an id using an url, this will make the url shorter. the base62 program has been written to encode/decode files into this format. The syntax is similar to the popular base64 command line program. Inside the package there is a working c++ version of the base62 algorithm. the sources are inside the package. Note that from release 2.0.0 the algorithm is different from the one used before. If you have coded a file using base62 < 2.0.0 DO NOT USE base62 >= 2.0.0 to decode it.
