ArchNURBS
NURBS-based elastic and limit analysis of masonry arches in MATLAB
ArchNURBS is a MATLAB tool for the analysis of planar curved structures, with a particular attention to masonry arches. As in CAD softwares, the geometry of the model is defined by a NURBS representation of the structure. Indeed, the user can upload geometries imported from a CAD environment. Based on such a representation, ArchNURBS performs the elastic isogeometric finite element analysis and the collapse limit analysis of the structure. It is possible to include in the analysis the presence of Fiber-Reinforced Polymers (FRP) extrados and intrados strips. Automatic Drawing Generation
A canvas library for generating technical drawings
The ADG library (Automatic Drawing Generation) is a set of functions focused on automating the drawing of mechanical parts. It is not a CAD system but a GObject-based library where a custom application can put common CAD entities such as paths, hatches and dimensions, to automatically create technical drawings. A demo application is provided in order to show the capabilities of the canvas. Although it is possible to interact with the library directly in C (that is what the adg-demo program is doing), the canvas is expected to be used from higher level languages, much in the same way as what done in the GNOME stack. Lua bindings based on LGI are already provided out of the box. The adg-lua project, downloadable from the "Files" section, provides Lua programs and demos that leverages these bindings. -

Buildes is an integrated development environment that assists the user in creating building information. It reads a text (session) file from which it compiles the information. It then allows the user to browse, analyze and export the resulting building knowledge. The compilation system is written in pure Python. The building components created are rendered in PythonOCC. This software implements the equations of the catenary curves, in adimensional formulation. The theory is applicable only to elastic ropes with uniform section. Any number of hanged masses or hangers may be input. The schema may be imported and exported. The graphics of deflections and tensions are shown with reference to X coordinate, while the graphic of stretches is shown with reference to the curvilinear coordinate. The solution is found by iteration, by mean of Scipy Minimize functions of Python, version 1.10. The results may be exported to .csv or .txt files. Gui is provided with tkinter windows. -
