WinAVR (tm) is a suite of executable, open source software development tools for the Atmel AVR series of RISC microprocessors hosted on the Windows platform. Includes the GNU GCC compiler for C and C++.

Open-source, free, multi-platform BASIC compiler, with syntax similar MS-QuickBASIC (including the GFX statements), that adds new features such as pointers, unsigned data types, inline assembly, a pre-processor and many others.

A disassembler for the linux platform. Currently this supports x86 ELF files assumed to be written in C and output to intel- syntax assembly language; however the design is modular and replacements for any of these can be written.

z390 Portable Mainframe Assembler and Emulator

An open source COBOL compiler for the PC x86-32 platform. Generates GNU assembler and requires GCC to produce a binary. Supports Linux, BSD and MinGW 32 bit platforms.

JWasm is a Masm-compatible assembler. It supports 16-, 32- and 64-bit code, instructions up to AVX and various output formats. It's written in C.

colorForth is, in Chuck Moore's own words: "A dialect of Forth that uses color to replace punctuation. Includes its own operating system. Produces extremely compact programs. Instant compile from pre-parsed source."

Z88DK is a complete Z80 / Z180 development kit that includes C compiler, assembler, linker, a tool for generating executables in a number of formats, and miscellaneous other tools. amforth is an extendable command interpreter running on AVR ATmega and TI MSP430 microcontrollers. The Risc-V and ARM architectures are ascending. Turnkey actions for IoT workloads are possible as well. The command language is close to the Forth 2012 standard.

ImpLib SDK combines free programming tools for authoring custom import libraries for Windows DLL (32 and 64 bit). The SDK supports advanced features, like cdecl2stdcall conversion, importing by ordinal, removing original thunk, storing symbols from different DLL files in a single import library. The ImpLib SDK is also useful to overcome any legal restrictions when redistributing the import libraries for certain DLL files, like the Microsoft® C++ runtime. The import libraries for the CRT or STL are part of the Windows SDK. Even though the SDK is available for free, redistributing these files is not allowed according to the current license agreements. An alternative is to generate these import libraries using the ImpLib SDK, as it doesn't restrict redistribution.
