LFortran is a modern open-source (BSD licensed) interactive Fortran compiler built on top of LLVM. It can execute the user’s code interactively to allow exploratory work (much like Python, MATLAB or Julia) as well as compile binaries with the goal of running the user’s code on modern architectures such as multi-core CPUs and GPUs. LFortran is in alpha (it is expected to not work on third-party codes and users enthusiastically participate in bug reporting and fixing).

Numba is an open source JIT compiler that translates a subset of Python and NumPy code into fast machine code. Numba translates Python functions to optimized machine code at runtime using the industry-standard LLVM compiler library. Numba-compiled numerical algorithms in Python can approach the speeds of C or FORTRAN. Windows version of the free open source GCC (GNU Compiler Collection) compiler for C and C++ (and other languages like Objective-C, Fortran, D). This is a standalone personal build, which means this download offers a complete compiler environment for Windows. Can be used together with an IDE (like Code::Blocks) or the MSYS2 shell if you need command line tools (e.g. for porting software from Linux to native Windows). Software built with this compiler will run natively on Windows (= without emulation layers like Cygwin).
