CRGREP searches for matching text in databases, various document formats, archives and other difficult to access resources. A command line tool for name and content text matching in database tables, plain files, MS Office documents, PDF, archives, MP3 audio, image meta-data, scanned documents, maven dependencies and web resources. CRGREP will search resources within resources of any arbitrary combination or depth, so text within a document within a zip archive, and so on. xjobs has a command line interface similar to xargs to start processes, but runs processes in parallel and provides enhanced concepts for I/O redirection.

These include idioms (kick the bucket), noun compounds (cable car), phrasal verbs (take off, give up), etc. Even though it focuses on multiword expresisons, the framework is quite complete and can also be useful in any corpus-based study in computational linguistics. The mwetoolkit can be applied to virtually any text collection, language, and MWE type. It is a command-line tool written mostly in Python. Its development started in 2010 as a PhD thesis but the project keeps active (see the SVN logs). Command-line tool to check ADFs (Amiga Disk Files) for errors and viruses. A binary is included for Windows users; Linux users are advised to compile the application themselves. Might also compile under plain DOS; but BE WARNED! When you scan files already renamed by the TOSEC standard, consider that file names may become insanely long in no time. --UPDATE OCTOBER 2014-- This project is currently suspended! BAC is a command-line tool that converts, to a target audio file format, all the audio files stored in a directory tree of any depth. Supported file formats are OGG, FLAC, MP3, AAC, ALAC, WAV, in all ways, and WMA as source. Main audio tags are preserved in the process, as well as most file name characters (white spaces, question marks etc). BAC runs on Linux and probably most UNIX-type OSes. On Windows, it must be operated from the Cygwin environment. It requires the following software to be installed: - flac and metaflac (flac files only) - vorbis-tools (ogg files only) - faac and faad (aac files only) - lame and madplay (mp3 files only) - alac-decoder and mpeg4ip-utils (ALAC decode) - ffmpeg (ALAC encode, wma decode) - mplayer (wma decode) - mp4v2-utils (AAC, ALAC, WAV decode) BAC is now optimized for multiprocessing on multicore systems: a tunable number of cores can be used for simultaneous conversions.

The M6811 Code-Seeking Disassembler is a command-line tool that lets you enter known starting vectors for a given code image for the 6811 micro. It will disassemble the code and follow through branches to assist in the separation of code and data. Its companion Fuzzy Function Analyzer uses DNA Sequence Alignment Algorithms to locate similar code in multiple binaries, facilitating reverse-engineering. Originally written to analyze code from GM automotive engine controllers, but is useful anywhere a 6811 micro is being used. Version 1.0 was written in Borland Pascal in April 1996, and updated to v1.2 in June 1999. It was later rewritten to C++ in July 1999 through Jan 2000. While it's been freely available since its creation, it's being released here as an open-source project so the world can better use it as it sees fit. Version 2.0 is completely reworked in 2014 to compile and run with GCC and STL to make it fully portable and accessible to all computer platforms.
