Almost all new digital cameras use the EXIF annotation, storing information on the image such as shutter speed, exposure compensation, F-number, what metering system was used, if a flash was used, ISO number, date and time the image was taken, white balance, lenses that were used and resolution. All this Informations is usually embedded in the EXIF data of the picture files. This tool is available as a stand-alone Windows win32 executable and a Macintosh OS X package. -

Das Programm scannt zunächst die Bilder in einem Verzeichnis und ermittelt fehlende Daten oder Ungereimtheiten in den Daten. Per Drag&Drop können die Koordinaten oder die GPS-Zeit korrigiert oder ergänzt werden. Zur Unterstützung wird auf GoogleMaps zurückgegriffen. Erweiterungen: Umbenennen und Tracken ohne Installation ausführbar unter Windows XP, 7 und 8. German and English is supported. The program also can capture video with sound and store them in compressed AVI files. The special feature of Motion Detector is its support of information exchange through UDP protocol. Motion Detector can send motion data in real time to other software for organizing real-time feedback in scientific behavioral experiments. It also can accept commands trough the network or from other software running on the same computer (through UDP) to start/stop video capturing. The program has a ring buffer in RAM to store prehistory - some amount of video before the UDP video capturing event can be saved in the file if needed. Name of the video file can be given in the UDP message or generated locally using auto-increment feature. -
