It contains the development library itself (with the code sources) and some custom tools used to compile resources. SGDK uses the GCC compiler (m68k-elf target) and the libgcc to generate a ROM image. Binaries (GCC 6.3) are provided for Windows OS for convenience, but you need to install it by yourself for other operating systems. -

A tweaked and more verbose copy of Qemu
I've been collecting various patches to early Qemu 0.9.0 and I thought I'd merge them together to make a more 'mega' 0.90. Why 0.9.0? Well this version is still bound by GCC 3.x meaning it uses the older but much more faster dynamic translation engine and is significantly faster than any other unassisted version of Qemu. Emulation of the older hardware is also much more stronger in Qemu 0.90 allowing guest OS's like Novell Netware, and NeXTSTEP to run. -

...ATmega8 uses its 8MHz internal oscillator to reduce hardware (atmega8 no-xtal bootloader is used). The arduino library uses SoftwareSerial internally to communicate ATmega8 via digital pin 6 (only for uno/duemilanove or clone with atmega8/168/328, not for mega & due). Only one wire simplex serial communication at baudrate 9600 is required to communicate with serialLCD module. The library & firmware file is released in public domain as open-source project.
