    Timid Touch

    Timid Touch

Touchscreen calibrator and input daemon for Linux with X Window System

Timid Touch is a touchscreen calibrator and an input daemon for Linux distributions with the X Window System on board. It bypasses xinput/libinput entirely, reads device events directly and sends adjusted coordinates to X11. Timid Touch aims to replace [xinput_calibrator], which no longer works (since [libinput] broke everything) and allows to calibrate multiple monitors with touch panels easily.

Linux-based DIY DCC (Model Railroad Digital Command Control) The project has morphed somewhat from its starting point. There's now a LOT of hardware bits, designed in CadSoft Eagle (V7, not the AutoDesk versions) and low-level code for PIC and ARM embedded micros. The Linux kernel driver for the original hardware is still there but increasingly redundant.

Byte CALculator for storage conversions and calculations

bcal (Byte CALculator) is a command-line utility for storage conversions and calculations. Storage, hardware and firmware developers work with numerical calculations regularly e.g., storage unit conversions, address calculations etc. If you are one and can't calculate the hex address offset for (512 - 16) MiB immediately, or the value when the 43rd bit of a 64-bit address is set, bcal is for you. Though it started with storage, the scope of bcal isn't limited to the storage domain. ...
