Workaround for the problem that exist with associating file types with programs located in other folders than the standard program folders in Windows Vista or Windows 7. It is specifically designed to make it possible to associate various file types with GNU Emacs (that is supposed to be located on a path that doesn't contain any space, and hence can't be located in the Program files folder), but the code can easily be modified and recompiled to make it possible to associate any file type with any program. -

Pipe to colour lines produced by syslog-ng and similar programs written to terminal (TTY) or file. The program inserts ANSI escape sequences to colour log lines according to their severity. This means the colouring works when viewed on a terminal or using programs such as "less" or "more". You have to customize syslog-ng to include severity as the first character in each logged line, and to pipe the logged messages through the logcolourer program. -
