JxMake
A Java-based cross-platform build system.
...In addition, JxMake provides several capabilities not typically found in other console-based build systems, including a built-in lightweight GUI, serial console, serial plotter, multi-MCU in-system programmer, and more. Currently, JxMake's loadable libraries (build scripts) are primarily designed for non-OS MCU systems and experimental use. Full support for building desktop applications is planned for future development. Building JxMake requires Java SDK 8 or later (note that Java SDK 8 is a Long-Term Support version). -

this is a compiler wrapper made to wrap - borland c++ 5.5.1 (no longer available, *bc*) - DJGPP (gp.cmd,older gp.bat,*gp*) - mingw and mingw-w64 compilers (install-compilers.cmd, zap*, *gw2*) - mingw-w64 vityan compiler batch files for ubuntu natty and freebsd (*gwix*) are packaged with set just above. currently, you still have to specify exe or dll even there is no extension of linux binaries. it is not setup yet for .so files.
