SystemImager is software that makes the installation of Linux to masses of similar machines relatively easy. It makes software distribution, configuration, and operating system updates easy, and can also be used for content distribution.

m23 is a free software distribution system (license: GPL), that installs (via network, starting with partitioning and formatting) and administrates (updates, adds / removes software, adds / removes scripts) clients with Debian, (X/K)Ubuntu and LinuxMint. It is used for deployment of Linux clients in schools, institutions and enterprises. The m23 server is controlled via a web interface. A new m23 client can be installed easily in only three steps. Group functions and mass installation tools make managing a vast number of clients comfortable. The integration of existing clients (with .deb-based distributions) into the system is possible, too. Client backup and server backup are included to avoid data loss. With the integrated virtualisation software, m23 can create and manage virtual m23 clients, that run on real m23 clients or the m23 server. pibackup is a portable 64-bit backup and restore tool with a graphical user interface (GUI), designed for Raspberry Pi and similar Linux systems. It supports live backups of running systems as well as offline image creation from inactive drives, providing safe and flexible restore options. Unlike typical SD card tools, pibackup is optimized for large storage devices like SSDs and HDDs, while still working seamlessly with smaller devices. It backs up the first two partitions of any storage device and enables selective restoration. After backup, pibackup can automatically remove specified files and folders, shrink the image, and compress it efficiently using Zstandard (.zst) to save space. Tea Chest is a Java archiving solution. It allows the creation of job files in which a concise description of the files and folders to be archived is stored, and the backup of the job file into a zip or self extracting JAR file.

Fpart is a tool that helps you sort file trees and pack them into bags (called "partitions"). It is developped in C and available under the BSD license. It splits a list of directories and file trees into a certain number of partitions, trying to produce partitions with the same size and number of files. It can also produce partitions with a given number of files or a limited size. Once generated, partitions are either printed as file lists to stdout (default) or to files. Those lists can then be used by third party programs. Fpart also includes a live mode, which allows it to crawl very large filesystems and produce partitions in live. Hooks are available to act on those partitions (e.g. immediatly start a transfer using rsync(1)) without having to wait for the filesystem traversal job to be finished. Used this way, fpart can be seen as a powerful data migration tool.

Utility to help create backups more easily. The idea of the program is that all essential information for creating a backup is in a single file. It can use ‘tar’ for creating archives, has a command line interface, and supports incremental backups.

phpEasyVCS is a simple version control system (VCS) with minimal hosting requirements, namely PHP 5.2+. No database is needed. Files can be viewed and uploaded with a browser or by WebDAV, which allows you to access the files like a local drive in all operating systems. For integration with other software a REST service is provided. It is very easy to view the file versions at a specific point in time. The web interface allows you to easily compare file versions and synchronize and merge local files with the files in phpEasyVCS. It is possible to host multiple repositories and define multiple users with full, read-only or no access to each of the repositories.
