abcmidi contains a collection of command line utilities for working with abc music notation files. abc2midi converts an abc file into a midi file. abc2abc transposes the contents of an abc file to another key. midi2abc converts a midi file into an abc file. yaps renders the contents of an abc file into common music notation and records it into a PostScript file. mftext presents a textual representation of a midi file. midicopy changes the contents of a midi file and records it in a new midi file. ... -

In addition it contains numerous tools for editing and processing and analyzing abc and midi files. Runabc has been included in the sourceforge abc music project. EasyABC
EasyABC is an open source ABC editor
EasyABC allows the user to create, edit, view, play, convert music written in the ABC music notation language. The program was originally written in Python 2.7 and WxPython by Nils Liberg and runs on Windows, OSX, and Linux. Jan Wybren de Jong has converted to run on Python 3.8 or higher. Frédéric Aupépin has been supporting EasyABC on OSX. EasyABC depends upon other external programs like abc2midi, abcm2ps, fluidsynth. -

Yet another human-readable plaintext music notation language. Somewhat similar to ABC and also Guido. Empty lines divide blocks of music, and every line is for one voice. Blocks can be repeated and merged to simplify structured composing.
