LAME is an educational tool to be used for learning about MP3 encoding. The goal of the LAME project is to improve the psycho acoustics, quality and speed of MP3 encoding. Note: we provide source code only!

FF Multi Converter is a simple graphical application which enables you to convert audio, video, image and document files between all popular formats, using and combining other programs. It uses ffmpeg for audio/video files, unoconv for document files and ImageMagick for image file conversions.

A2M (Audio to MIDI) is an open-source Windows application for converting piano recordings into editable MIDI files. It estimates notes, timing, velocity, sustain, and soft-pedal events, with the best results obtained from clean solo piano recordings. Choose an audio file, select CPU or a CUDA/DirectML mode, and click Convert to MIDI. The generated file is saved to Downloads/A2M by default, or to a custom folder selected in Settings. Audio analysis is performed locally. Source recordings are not uploaded, and no account is required. Network access may be used for requested downloads and update checks when enabled. Python Audio Tools are a collection of audio handling programs. These include programs for CD extraction, track conversion from one audio format to another, track renaming and retagging, track identification, CD burning from tracks, and more.

Pianoscribe is a Windows application that listens to a piano recording and turns the performance into a MIDI file you can open, edit, and arrange. It identifies notes, timing, dynamics, and optional sustain and soft pedal use without uploading the recording for analysis. Choose an audio file, decide whether to preserve the performance’s natural dynamics and pedal information, then select Convert to MIDI. Processing load can be adjusted to suit the computer, allowing Pianoscribe to work quietly in the background or finish more quickly when resources are available. Clean solo piano recordings provide the clearest results. The completed MIDI file is saved to a configurable location and can be opened in compatible notation, composition, and production software. Youtube2mp3 is a cross-platform video downloader and converter that converts YouTube, Google Video, DVDs, and local media files into a wide range of audio and video formats.

EnDiskEx is a command-line tool that bulk extracts instruments, sequences, songs, and banks from Ensoniq-formatted disk images (RAW, GKH, EDE, and EDA) for the EPS/ASR family of samplers. The extracted files are saved as EFE / SMF / TXT files. EnDiskEx is designed to extract Ensoniq banks for re-creation within a different DAW. It will track down the instrument and song files from bank references even if they were saved on another disk. There also exists a disk mapping feature to correct for any errors in this process caused by having relabeled disks, forgotten to label disks, etc. EnDiskEx has been tested and validated against a variety of RAW, GKH, EDE, and EDA images files the dev team has, including but not limited to, the ASR factory disks, the EPS 16+ factory disks, and the EPS (classic) factory disks.
