    SolTrack

    SolTrack

A free, fast and accurate routine to compute the position of the Sun

...(highly) concentrated (photovoltaic) solar power. SolTrack has been developed by Marc van der Sluys, Paul van Kan and Jurgen Reintjes, of the Lectorate of Sustainable Energy at the HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem, The Netherlands. The code is based on the astronomical Fortran library libTheSky and can be used, modified and distributed under the conditions of version 3 of the GNU Public Licence.

As of August 2018 Spheral++ has moved to Github -- please see the current repository at https://github.com/jmikeowen/spheral We are leaving a frozen version here on SourceForge for historical reasons. Spheral++ provides a steerable parallel environment for performing coupled hydrodynamical & gravitational numerical simulations. Hydrodynamics and gravity are modelled using particle based methods (SPH and N-Body).

    stellarics

Inverse Compton emission from heliospheres of sun and stars

Cosmic ray electrons scatter on the photon fields around stars, including the sun, to create gamma rays by the inverse Compton effect. This program computes the spectrum and angular distribution of this emission. The software also includes general-purpose routines for inverse Compton scattering on a given electron spectrum, for example for interstellar or astrophysical source modelling. For further information see these publications: http://arxiv.org/abs/astro-ph/0607563,...

    hadronic gamma rays

gamma rays from hadronic processes in astrophysics

...These require significant effort in practice to compute emissivities for given input spectra. To supplement these matrices I provide here a C++ class which reads the matrices, interpolates on user-defined particle and gamma-ray energy grids, and computes the gamma-ray emissivity either differential or in user-defined bands. A sample user program is provided which can be edited to provide the required functionality. See also http://sourceforge.net/projects/galprop, which includes more models.
