Audiogen Codec
48khz stereo neural audio codec for general audio
...We found that training with EMA and adding a perceptual loss term with CLAP features improved performance. These codecs, being low compression, outperform Meta's EnCodec and DAC on general audio as validated from internal blind ELO games. We trained (relatively) very low compression codecs in the pursuit of solving a core issue regarding general music and audio generation, low acoustic quality, and audible artifacts, which hinder industry use for these models. Our hope is to encourage researchers to build hierarchical generative audio models that can efficiently use high sequence length representations without sacrificing semantic abilities. -

Beyond a Gaussian Denoiser: Residual Learning of Deep CNN
...DnCNN is a feedforward convolutional neural network that learns to predict the residual noise (i.e. noise map) from a noisy input image, which is then subtracted to yield a clean image. This formulation allows efficient denoising, supports blind Gaussian noise (i.e. unknown noise levels), and can be extended to related tasks like image super-resolution or JPEG deblocking in some variants. The repository includes training code (using MatConvNet / MATLAB), demo scripts, pretrained models, and evaluation routines. Single model handling multiple noise levels. -
