Our Bubble Picker is an example of an animation that is equally appealing to different groups of users. Bubbles summarize information into convenient UI elements that are easy to understand and also visually consistent. It makes the interface simple enough for novice users and still feels interesting for experienced ones. This type of animation is very helpful for apps rich in content, where users have to make a choice from a list of options.

We designed a UI that allows users to switch between list and grid views on the fly and choose the most convenient display type. List view usually provides more details about each user or contact. Grid view allows more users or contacts to appear on the screen at the same time. We created design mockups for both list and grid views using Sketch. As soon as the mockups were ready, we used Principle to create a smooth transition between the two display types.

This is my first Android project, but I hope for it to become a fun little toy project that can be used to come up with alphanumeric codes that can be shared with other Android (and perhaps eventually web) users to display little images and animations in a compact format without file transfers or related security issues.
