    Awesome Cordova Plugins

    Awesome Cordova Plugins

Native features for mobile apps built with Cordova/PhoneGap

Awesome Cordova Plugins is a curated set of wrappers for Cordova plugins that make adding any native functionality you need to your Ionic mobile app easy. Awesome Cordova Plugins wraps plugin callbacks in a Promise or Observable, providing a common interface for all plugins and making it easy to use plugins with Angular change detection. In addition to Cordova, Awesome Cordova Plugins also works with Capacitor, Ionic's official native runtime. You also need to install the Awesome Cordova Plugins package for each plugin you want to add. To use a plugin, import and add the plugin provider to your @NgModule, and then inject it where you wish to use it. Make sure to import the injectable class from the /ngx directory. React apps must use Capacitor to build native mobile apps. However, Awesome Cordova Plugins (and therefore, Cordova plugins) can still be used.

    BoostMultiDex

    BoostMultiDex

Load multiple dex files on low Android version devices

BoostMultiDex is a specialized Android-library created by ByteDance to address a long-standing performance and user-experience problem on older Android devices (specifically Android 4.x and below, i.e. SDK < 21), where loading multiple dex files after installation or upgrade can lead to extremely long “black-screen” freeze times during first startup. Instead of relying on the standard Android MultiDex mechanism, BoostMultiDex reworks the loading strategy by tapping into hidden Dalvik VM internals so that original DEX bytecode can be loaded directly, bypassing costly ODEX generation. It adopts a multi-stage loading approach (DEX bytecode → DEX file → ODEX file) to pick the fastest viable route at runtime, and optionally performs optimization (OPT) in a separate process with interruption/recovery support — minimizing startup time and preserving stability.

Take a look at the tests to see what has been ported and tested to be working. A high-end desktop GPU, such as an AMD Radeon 7970 or NVIDIA GTX 680 or better. We succesfully tested the software under Windows, Linux and Mac OSX. The software currently doesn't work on OpenCL CPU devices. It might run on a laptop GPU but performance will not likely be very good. Note that often an OpenCL drivers fails to compile a kernel. Some unit tests exist to track down the issue, but more work is required to cover all OpenCL kernels.

    CatchUp

    CatchUp

An app for catching up on things

In today's world we are constantly overwhelmed with content and services from different media platforms and apps. It's difficult to take in all of these in one go, but skipping any of them could mean falling behind on the latest news and developments. Enter CatchUp: an app for catching up on things. CatchUp offers a high level presentation of the "front page" of several services in short form, allowing you to take in these services in one swift go. And when you want to go further, there's intelligent deeplinking into dedicated apps that will allow you to do so. CatchUp features several services but is not an all-purpose client for each of these services, nor does it support login for any service, or the customization/filtering of their feed. It will simply display the front page of a number of different services in a per-service-themed, consistent, at-a-glance UI.

    ChatSecure

    ChatSecure

ChatSecure is a free and open source encrypted chat client for iOS

ChatSecure is a free and open source messaging app that features OMEMO encryption and OTR encryption over XMPP. You can connect to your existing Google accounts or create new accounts on public XMPP servers (including via Tor), or even connect to your own server for extra security. Unlike other apps that keep you stuck in their walled garden, ChatSecure is fully interoperable with other clients that support OMEMO or OTR and XMPP, such as Conversations (Android), CoyIM (Desktop), and more. ChatSecure only uses well-known open-source cryptographic libraries to keep your conversations private. Other apps may make claims about "military grade" security but, without publicly auditable source code and verifiable end-to-end encryption, you cannot be truly safe.

    Chuck

    Chuck

An in-app HTTP inspector for Android OkHttp clients

Chuck is a simple in-app HTTP inspector for Android OkHttp clients. Chuck intercepts and persists all HTTP requests and responses inside your application, and provides a UI for inspecting their content. Apps using Chuck will display a notification showing a summary of ongoing HTTP activity. Tapping on the notification launches the full Chuck UI. Apps can optionally suppress the notification, and launch the Chuck UI directly from within their own interface. HTTP interactions and their contents can be exported via a share intent. The main Chuck activity is launched in its own task, allowing it to be displayed alongside the host app UI using Android 7.x multi-window support. The data generated and stored when using this interceptor may contain sensitive information such as Authorization or Cookie headers, and the contents of request and response bodies. It is intended for use during development, and not in release builds or other production deployments.

    DBFLOW

    DBFLOW

A blazing fast, powerful, and very simple ORM database

DBFlow is fast, efficient, and feature-rich Kotlin database library built on SQLite for Android. DBFlow utilizes annotation processing to generate SQLite boilerplate for you and provides a powerful SQLite query language that makes using SQLite a joy. DBFlow is built from a collection of some of the best features of many database libraries. Don't let an ORM or library get in your way, let the code you write in your applications be the best as possible. Built using the language, the library is super-concise, null-safe and efficient. Generates the necessary code that you don't need to write. Contains the main annotations and misc classes that are shared across all of DBFlow. The main library artifact used in conjunction with the previous two artifacts. Adds coroutine support for queries. Enable applications to be reactive by listening to DB changes and ensuring your subscribers are up-to-date.

    DeepLinkDispatch

    DeepLinkDispatch

Annotation-based library for making deep link handling better

Deep links provide a way to link to specific content on either a website or an application. These links are indexable and searchable, and can provide users direct access to much more relevant information than a typical home page or screen. In the mobile context, the links are URIs that link to specific locations in the application. At Airbnb, we use these deep links frequently to link to listings, reservations, or search queries. Android supports deep links through declaration in the Manifest. You can add an intent filters which define a mapping between deep link schemas and Activities. Subsequently, any URI with the registered scheme, host, and path will open up that Activity in the app. You can’t easily indicate the parameters that you would expect in the URI that you are filtering for. For complex deep links, you are likely to have to write a parsing mechanism to extract out the parameters, or worse, have such similar code distributed amongst many Activities.

    Doctor Dignity

    Doctor Dignity

Doctor Dignity is an LLM that can pass the US Medical Licensing Exam

Doctor Dignity is a prototype project exploring how AI-assisted tooling might support compassionate, accessible health guidance for people who struggle to get timely care. The repository centers on a simple end-to-end pipeline—intake of user-reported symptoms, basic triage logic, and clear, supportive messaging—intended to demonstrate how such systems could be built. It emphasizes a humane UX: plain-language prompts, de-jargonized outputs, and guardrails that nudge users toward professional care when needed. The code is designed to be hackable rather than production-grade, giving learners a chance to experiment with NLP flows and lightweight back-end components. It also highlights privacy-aware patterns and cautions that this kind of software must not replace licensed medical advice. As a teaching and ideation vehicle, the project invites contributors to iterate on intent classification, response templates, and safe-use boundaries.
