The project is useful any time objects need to be persisted, whether to a file, database or over the network. Kryo can also perform automatic deep and shallow copying/cloning. This is direct copying from object to object, not object to bytes to object. Kryo has three sets of methods for reading and writing objects. If the concrete class of the object is not known and the object could be null. Besides methods to read and write objects, the Kryo class provides a way to register serializers, reads and writes class identifiers efficiently, handles null objects for serializers that can't accept nulls, and handles reading and writing object references (if enabled). This allows serializers to focus on their serialization tasks. -

For the first time, designers can create and ship beautiful animations without an engineer painstakingly recreating them by hand. Bodymovin is an After Effects plugin created by Hernan Torrisi that exports After Effects files as json and includes a javascript web player. We've built on top of his great work to extend its usage to Android, iOS, and React Native. You can build the sample app yourself or download it from the Play Store. The sample app includes some built-in animations but also allows you to load an animation from internal storage or from a URL. -

Image compression with efficiency very close to WeChat
With mobile development, showing images in an app has become a very frequent task. But with the ever-increasing resolution of smartphone cameras, image compression has become a rather important concern. Although there are already a lot of writings on the internet on the topic, a great number of possible scenarios still have to be thought of, like unsuccessful compressions, too small pictures (eg. for profile pictures) or too bad image quality. Naturally, the first idea was to see how WeChat, the app giant manages this task in action. To gather data, 100 images with different resolutions were sent through WeChat Moments, then the compressed images were compared with the original ones. Luban's foundation is the result of this analysis on WeChat's compression method. Because the process was analyzed backward, Luban's efficacy is not yet exactly the same as that of WeChat, but the results are already very close to what WeChat Moments' image compression produces. -

Some components have custom attributes, if you want use them, you must add some code lines in your xml file in the first component. It is recommended to put the Button component in the right-bottom of the screen. To use this component write the code in your xml file. AppCompat v21 makes it easy to use Material Design EditText in our apps, but it's so limited. If you've tried that, you know what I mean. So I wrote MaterialEditText, the EditText in Material Design, with more features that Google Material Design Spec has introduced. Base color will be used as bottom line color, text color (reset alpha to 87%) and hint text color (reset alpha to 26%). You can use app:met_baseColor in xml or setBaseColor() in java code. If you haven't set a base color, black will be used. Primary color will be used as the activated bottom line color, highlight floating label color, and singleline ellipsis color. You can use app:met_primaryColor in xml or setPrimaryColor() in java code. If you haven't set a primary color, the base color will be used. Just use com.rengwuxian.materialedittext.MaterialEditText instead of EditText in your layout xml. MaterialEditText has directly inherited EditText, so you don't have to change your java code. -
