PepDistiller
A software to validate the peptide identifications of Mascot results
...Based on the analysis of a complex data set, approximately 7% more peptide identifications were obtained using PepDistiller than using MASCOT Percolator. Moreover, the refined method generated lower FDR estimations than the percentage of incorrect target (PIT) fixed method applied in Percolator. Using a standard data set, we further demonstrated the increased accuracy of the refined FDR estimations relative to the PIT-fixed FDR estimations. Creates EZID PIT tag lists from raw PuTTY outputs
This program takes raw outputs from a Destron Fearing 2001F-ISO PIT tag reader PuTTY session and assigns each PIT tag an EZID number from a sequence specified by the user. It eliminates the need for typing out PIT IDs or post-processing the PuTTY files by hand, thus reducing the chance for errors when creating the EZID files. It also contains checks for the expected number of tags to ensure that the correct number were scanned. -

...We're aiming a little more towards an 8-bit adventure classic feel, only with more RPG aspects (ie. attribute choices on level up!) The core mechanic in Polymorphable is using different talismans to polymorph into different forms so you can reach different areas. Imagine being blocked by a pit, so you transform into a bat to fly across. Or perhaps there's a wall of fire in front of you, so you turn into ghost form to phase right through.
