MariaDB comes with the mysqldump tool for exporting data. This is a fast tool, but the output format isn't very flexible and there are some other constraints. MyMDBDump on the other hand aims at providing a lot more flexibility in the output format. In addition to CSV and mysqldump (INSERT statement) output, MyMDBDump includes output for use with Oracle and SQL Server databases, JSON output and HTML output. mysql-archives

dump mysql databases and snapshot nimble arrays

The mysqlbackups project on sf.net is defunct but the name is taken. I'm posting code under this name instead (mysqlarchives) but the code is called mysqlbackups. This set of scripts automates mysqldump, log rotation, and snapshots with quiesce when data is hosted on a nimble storage array. The rpm build process is still calling a script that is not public yet. I'll update that later.

    MySQL Local and/or Remote Backup

    The name says it all.

A Perl script to manage MySQL Backups, both locally and remotely (FTP). For a simpler Bash script (which doesn't manage FTP), see the AutoMySQLBackup project by wipe_out. I made this because it was easier for me to create a whole new Perl script than to improve upon his bash goodness. Right now you can expect it to save databases (via mysqldump or mysql with a custom query) and upload them using FTP (via a Perl module). For compression management or auto-pruning of old backups you'll have...
