    HipMer is the first end-to-end de novo genome assembler designed for extreme scale analysis via efficient parallelization. The single-genome assembly implementation is a high-performance parallelization and port of the Meraculous assembler (http://jgi.doe.gov/data-and-tools/meraculous/).
