Remote Operation On Files (ROOF) is a FTP client providing: a command line tool as well as an API library, a File system based on FTP protocol named FTPFS (FUSE based) and FTPING tool to check remote FTP server availability.
Grifi, GridFTP File System: It is a virtual file system (based on FUSE) that allows a user to mount a remote directory using the gridftp protocol. It is based on the UberFTP client and FTPFS from the LUFS project.
FTPfs is a Linux kernel module. You can mount FTP servers locally and take full advantage of read-only local files (e.g. you might want to watch a movie without effectively downloading it).
