elilong is a uefi bootloader. it is designed to use a configuration file similar to elilo, and can read elilo.conf if it can't find it's own config file. As elilo is not supported, and can have difficulties booting when "above 4g decoding" and "resize bar" is enabled in the uefi bios this project was born to provide a working alternative without the complexity of grub2. It is not yet fully feature complete, but does boot a selection of modern kernels in x86_64. your bios bit-ness needs to match the bootloader bit-ness and (at the moment) the kernel bit-ness as well.

This project is orphaned, Debian dropped it in 2014, and RH & SUSE stopped using this tree (and feeding back change) long before that so no longer interested in working on it. Feel free to start your own source tarball is available.
