    DWMBlurGlass

    DWMBlurGlass

Add custom effect to global system title bar, support win10 and win11

DWMBlurGlass is a project/repository for Windows that aims to apply a “blur glass” aesthetic effect — i.e. translucent frosted-glass blur — to windows/desktop UI under the Desktop Window Manager (DWM). It is likely a small utility or library rather than a full game or engine, and caters to customizing the look and feel of windows for software that want a sleek transparent/blurred background aesthetic. Because its scope is narrowly defined — focusing on window rendering / UI effect — it is probably lightweight, easy to integrate in projects needing custom window decorations. ...

    S.U.P.E.R.M.A.N.

    S.U.P.E.R.M.A.N.

S.U.P.E.R.M.A.N. optimizes the macOS software update experience

super is a compact, high-performance tiling window manager for macOS that offers keyboard-driven workflow efficiency similar to tiling window managers found in Linux environments like i3 or dwm. Written in Swift, super leverages macOS APIs to allow users to manage windows in grid-like patterns, enabling rapid arrangement, resizing, and navigation without reaching for the mouse. It’s ideal for developers, power users, and keyboard-centric users who want to boost productivity within macOS’s graphical interface.

    penrose

    penrose

A library for writing an X11 tiling window manager

...Don't worry, the top-level API is well documented and a lot of things will work out of the box, and if you fancy digging deeper you'll find lots of opportunities to customize things to your liking. Penrose was born out of my failed attempts to refactor the dwm codebase into something that I could more easily understand and hack on. While I very much admire and aim for minimalism in code, I personally feel that it becomes a problem when your code base starts playing code golf to keep things short for the sake of it.

    dwm

    dwm

    dwm for Wayland

dwl is a compact, hackable compositor for Wayland based on wlroots. It is intended to fill the same space in the Wayland world that dwm does in X11, primarily in terms of philosophy, and secondarily in terms of functionality. dwl is not meant to provide every feature under the sun. Instead, like dwm, it sticks to features that are necessary, simple, and straightforward to implement given the base on which it is built. Simple window borders, tags, keybindings, client rules, mouse move/resize. ...

    LeftWM Layouts

    LeftWM Layouts

Library providing fixed but parameterized window layout calculations

...Custom layout definitions allow some flexibility but are still fairly limited by design, as the target audience of this library is list-based / dynamic-tiling window managers (the likes of leftwm, dwm, ...) as opposed to manual tilers like i3.

    Epsilons Window Manager

    Epsilons Window Manager

ewm is a tiling window manager for X based on dwm

This is a tiling window manager for Xorg based on the suckless' dynamic window manager. In short, ewm is a fork of dwm. It is a fork. I maintain it, improve it, and make it actually useable rather than saying that everything is "bloat". If you don't like it: then don't use it.

    Win11DisableOrRestoreRoundedCorners

    Win11DisableOrRestoreRoundedCorners

A simple utility that cold patches dwm (uDWM.dll)

...The tool works by cold-patching the Desktop Window Manager library (uDWM.dll) to alter how window borders are rendered at the system level. Unlike theme-based modifications, it directly changes DWM behavior, allowing consistent square corners across most application windows. The project was created for users who prefer a more classic or compact desktop interface and want deeper control over Windows aesthetics. It includes restoration functionality so users can revert changes if needed, and it automatically backs up the original system file before patching. ...
