PopcornTimeTV was an Apple TV, iPhone and iPad application to torrent movies and tv shows for streaming. Since 2016, this project has grown exponentially - both in its user base and in its functionality. However, the team size has gone the other way. We went from having 13+ developers on the team to 1 developer and 1 designer, both of whom have lives and projects outside of Popcorn Time. We have decided that we have given our all to this project and it's time for us to move on to pursue greater things. There is no doubt that this comes with a heavy heart as we have learned so much from this project and watched it grow from this simple torrenting app that could only play 720p video, to what it is today. All that being said, we do not want this project to just die after we leave. The size of the project might be a bit daunting to an unseasoned developer but the app is extremely stable and packed with almost every feature you could need. -

Readest is a project meant to facilitate reading, studying, or consuming content by integrating reading tools with AI-powered assistance. Although the repository is not as widely documented or popular as some, the idea is that Readest supports features to help with reading comprehension — likely combining OCR / text retrieval, translation, note-taking, or summarization for reading materials (eBooks, articles, PDFs). The goal appears to be to let users feed in arbitrary reading material and then interact with it (highlighting, translation, lookup, maybe TTS or summarization) more comfortably. SAM 3 (Segment Anything Model 3) is a unified foundation model for promptable segmentation in both images and videos, capable of detecting, segmenting, and tracking objects. It accepts both text prompts (open-vocabulary concepts like “red car” or “goalkeeper in white”) and visual prompts (points, boxes, masks) and returns high-quality masks, boxes, and scores for the requested concepts. Compared with SAM 2, SAM 3 introduces the ability to exhaustively segment all instances of an open-vocabulary concept specified by a short phrase or exemplars, scaling to a vastly larger set of categories than traditional closed-set models. This capability is grounded in a new data engine that automatically annotated over four million unique concepts, producing a massive open-vocabulary segmentation dataset and enabling the model to achieve 75–80% of human performance on the SA-CO benchmark, which itself spans 270K unique concepts. -

WinSW wraps and manages any application as a Windows service. Functionality-wise, there's really not much that's worth noting; the problem of wrapping a process as a Windows service is so well defined that there aren't really any room for substantial innovation. You basically write a configuration file specifying how you'd like your process to be launched, and we provide programmatic means to install/uninstall/start/stop services. Another notable difference is that winsw can host any executable, whereas Java Service Wrapper can only host Java apps. Whether you like this or not depends on your taste, so I wouldn't claim mine is better. It's just different. WinSW 3 can run on Windows platforms with .NET Framework 4.6.1 or later versions installed. For systems without .NET Framework, the project provides native 64-bit and 32-bit executables based on .NET Core. -

Important: The update site and ticket management has been moved to GitHub as well. iSphere is an open source plug-in for IBM's Rational Developer for i 9.5.1.3+. It delivers high quality extensions to improve developer productivity. IBM's current Eclipse based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is a huge step beyond SEU, but it still lacks features available only on the green screen. That is where the iSphere Project comes into play, filling in those gaps. The iSphere library requires V7R1 or higher. For lower releases you can try to compile the library from an i Project by hand.
