Bioinformatic tools for analyzing an orfeome using translated ORFs and compares each ORF to the provided Orfeome/Proteome. Our script uses NCBI BLAST run locally and MySQL as the main engines in a new and interisting way. It is designed specifically for Poxvirus genomes, and provides the VACV-COP nomenclature and Cowpox Ortholog groups per each ORF. The BLAST stats are generated when compared to the Proteome you provide. It can be easily adapted for other genomes.

Backup script for rdiff-backup which pushes data to network targets
...When backing up to a remote Windows machine, no client software is needed, everything works over Samba (loop mounted ext). On remote Linux/Unix hosts it will require rdiff-backup. The script can send an email notification when it completes. It can also send warnings when the disk capacity is reaching limits. Its possible to create password protected archives which contain i.e. /etc folder. The script will only support 1 Windows host and 1 Unix/Linux host as backup storage. Its pushing data to other hosts, not pulling like other backup software. -
