    Lissajous figures

It animates some Lissajous figures. It is Boot-able.

This is a short simple boot-able program that animates some Lissajous figures. It can only run when the computer contains Bios, and when the computer is booted. The complete source code is here as an .asm file which can be compiled instantly with the Fasmw compiler. It has an interesting way of switching the computer into 64 bit Long mode. It actually switches the computer back and forth between 16 bit and 64 bit mode, easily, with an interesting technique.

    OpenSOC86

    OpenSOC86

Open implementation of the x86 architecture

OpenSOC86 is an open implementation of the x86 architecture in Verilog. The current version only implements the 16-bit part (real mode). The processor is a pipelined architecture clocked at 100 MHz in a Cyclone II speed grade -6. Therefore it can be seen as similar to a 486 in real mode. Several peripherals are also implemented in a somewhat minimalistic way, but enough to be able to boot an IBM PCXT compatible bios and MSDOS 6.22. The current implementation is only proven to boot the bios...

    NTVDM64

    NTVDM64

A virtual DOS machine for x64 Windows which works like ntvdm

As far as we know, Microsoft Windows no longer supports 16-bit MS-DOS application and they removed NTVDM, since virtual 8086 mode is not available under amd64 extended mode. This project aimed at building a virtual dos machine for 64-bit Windows. The idea of this project is to emulate a 16-bit CPU and provide BIOS/DOS interrupt services to MS-DOS applications. In NTVDM64, 16-bit applications runs as before in 32-bit Windows. We want to create a compatible environment for 16-bit applications...

    AHCISEC

Send ATA Security Commands to HDDs and SSDs running in AHCI mode

AHCISEC is used to send ATA Security Commands to HDDs and SSDs running in AHCI mode. In most cases only the BIOS of laptops will support sending security commands. This is a disadvantage if you want to use ATA security functions with normal desktop mainboards. Especially for SSDs with build in encryption features based on AES this program is a must have. You can use it from an MS-DOS boot disk without any drivers and it will send all known standard security commands in AHCI mode. This version...

    Disk Diagnostic

    Disk diagnostic for disk/controler/driver testing

This is a cli disk diagnostic that runs under Windows, Linux and DOS/BIOS. It is a traditional disk diagnostic in the style of diagnostics going back into the 1960's and the first disk drives. Although CLI driven, I have found it more useful that many other types of diagnostics for disk, controller and driver development than GJI based diagnostics. The command forms are terse, and it allows either use as an immediate mode debugger of drives or it can be used to form full testing scripts...
