X-Men: The Official Game is a 2006 action title created to bridge the narrative gap between X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. Players control three iconic mutants—each offering distinctive gameplay—while the story fills in why Nightcrawler is absent from the film that followed. Mechanically, however, much of the gameplay borrows heavily from other action titles of the era, and some sections can feel repetitive.
