What this tool does

Waves Nx converts ordinary headphone playback into a spatial, three-dimensional listening experience. Instead of sounding like audio compressed between two earcups, tracks are rendered as if they’re coming from around you, giving a sense of depth and placement normally heard on speakers.

Room simulation and realism

The software models real-room acoustics to recreate reflections, reverberation, and the sense of space. This lets mixes made on headphones translate more accurately to real environments by mimicking how sound behaves in a physical control room.

Personalized tracking and fit

A built-in head-tracking system uses your webcam to follow head movements so the virtual soundstage stays fixed in space as you turn. The app can also take measurements of your head size to fine-tune the profile it uses for positioning, improving the match between the virtual model and your anatomy.
