Protect and arrange your sensitive information
Wallet is a tidy, easy-to-use application designed to keep your important data safe and well organized. Its layout will feel familiar to users of Apple's Keychain Access, with a clear, structured interface that makes items easy to find and manage.
How items are organized
You can save entries into built-in categories such as serial numbers, web services, or credit cards, and you’re free to create your own custom groups to match your workflow. The app’s structure keeps related information together so retrieval is quick and predictable.
Password creation and assistance
Wallet has a built-in password generator to help when you need a strong credential. Specify whether you want digits or letters, choose whether the result should be pronounceable, and let the tool produce a password for you. It also integrates with Apple’s Password Assistant for creating particularly robust passwords.
Widgets and web form support
A Dashboard widget is included for fast searching of anything stored in Wallet. The app also offers an autofill feature for completing web forms automatically; currently this works with Safari, OmniWeb, and Internet Explorer. It’s a shame that browsers like Firefox and Opera aren’t supported yet, but the autofill option still adds a lot of convenience.
Summary judgement
Despite the limited browser compatibility, Wallet is an excellent choice for storing sensitive information and generating secure passwords. Its combination of categorization, password tools, and quick-access widgets makes it a practical utility for everyday security needs.
