Getting started with Unclutter

Unclutter’s window is split into three movable panes. You can resize the main panel, drag the subpanels to rearrange them, or disable any you don’t use to free up space. By default the app appears when you move the cursor to the top of the screen and swipe down, though that trigger can be changed in settings.

Quick-access areas

• Notes section
  Use the built-in sticky notes to jot down reminders or short ideas without launching a full editor. Notes support searching but do not include styling controls — they’re intended for straightforward text-only entries.

• Files area
  Drop frequently used documents into this dock for immediate access. You can switch between icon and list views, adjust icon size, and auto-sort items by name, type, date added, or date modified.

• Clipboard history
  View everything you’ve recently copied as clips or a simple list. Mark any item as a favorite (use the star) so it remains easy to find — a handy feature if you repeatedly paste the same text or links.

• Change how Unclutter is invoked (hot corner, keyboard shortcut, etc.) to match your workflow.
• Resize or rearrange the three panels to prioritize what matters most.
