Train Simulator Classic 2024 gives you the chance to operate realistic trains and explore detailed routes from around the world. Pick from a variety of locomotives and travel along historic and modern lines spanning countries such as the UK, Germany, France, the USA and more. Your objectives typically include loading and unloading passengers, keeping to the timetable, and taking in the passing scenery as you progress toward each stop.

How piloting the trains feels

You can take full control from inside the cab for an immersive, first-person experience, or switch to a third-person camera that displays a control panel along the bottom of the screen. Operating a locomotive requires managing your speed and obeying signals — but during long stretches you’re free to pan the camera, inspect the train interior, or admire the landscapes, provided you maintain the correct pace and respond to trackside instructions.
