SWTCH is a free iPhone application from SWTCH Energy Inc. It connects drivers to one of North America’s larger public EV charging networks, giving access to thousands of live charging points so you can top up when needed. The app is designed to make it simple to find chargers near your home, workplace, or around your neighborhood and to mark your preferred stations for quick access.

How to start a charging session

1. Open the SWTCH app and locate the charger you want to use.
2. Note the Charger ID printed on the front of the physical unit.
3. Enter that Charger ID into the app.
4. Tap the Start Charging / START CHARGING control to begin a session.

Tap-to-charge convenience

If you prefer a contactless, faster workflow, request the SWTCH Charge Card inside the app. When you receive and register the card, simply tap it on any SWTCH charger to initiate charging without manually entering the Charger ID.

Help and troubleshooting

If you encounter problems with your account or a specific charger, use the app’s built-in support tools to file a report or locate the appropriate contact method. When contacting support, include the Charger ID, the location, time of the issue, and any error messages to speed up assistance. The app lists the correct email address and other support options.
