Visuals and presentation
This version preserves the original’s retro look without remastering textures, so you get a dated, nostalgic appearance. However, it was designed for square-screen output, which results in black bars on either side of many modern devices and can make some on-screen details difficult to read.
Verdict
As a portable way to experience the classic crossover fighting formula, this unofficial remake is a decent option. Its faithful recreation of the original controls and mechanics is admirable, but the touchscreen control layout, lack of gamepad support, and unoptimized display hold it back. If you want a nostalgic, playable Smash-like on the go and can tolerate the technical compromises, it’s worth trying.
