Fixing “stuck” headphone mode

SoundAbout remedies situations where a phone continues to send audio to a headset that isn’t actually connected. When a device mistakenly detects headphones, sound may fail to play through the loudspeaker or the built-in earpiece; this app overrides that incorrect routing so audio reaches the expected output.

• Redirect text‑to‑speech output to the audio device you choose (for example, speaker or a connected headset)
• Control whether ringtones and notification sounds follow the final output selection or behave independently

How that helps in practice

By intercepting and adjusting the phone’s audio routing, the app lets you force sound to the speaker or earpiece when the system is stuck in headphone mode. That restores normal playback for music, calls, and TTS without needing hardware repairs or complex workarounds.

Quick notes on behavior

If you enable notification/ringtone forwarding, alerts will play through whatever output you’ve selected; otherwise they can remain tied to the system’s default path. The light edition gives core routing controls without extra advanced options.
