What Sockswitch does on iOS

Sockswitch is an iOS proxy app built to work with Shadowsocks and ShadowsocksR. It creates a SOCKS5-style VPN proxy that encrypts and forwards your Internet traffic, letting you route apps (for example, Telegram) through a proxy server instead of a direct connection.

Notes:

• The client also supports the original Shadowsocks protocol.
• SOCKS5 forwarding is available for apps that accept a SOCKS proxy; a common example is Telegram.

How to add a server and connect

1. Tap the Add button.
2. Choose a method to supply server details — you can Scan a QR code (handy if you exported settings from ShadowsocksX on macOS) or select Manual Input to type the host, port, encryption, and any obfuscation settings.
3. After saving the server, return to the server list, pick the desired server using its selection control (radio button), then toggle the main switch to enable the proxy connection.
