SIMPlus — Add a second mobile line to your iPhone via Bluetooth
SIMPlus is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) companion app that gives your iPhone the ability to operate with two SIM profiles. Instead of juggling multiple phones or swapping physical SIMs, the app lets you maintain two separate lines on a single device for calls, texts and data.
Primary capabilities
- Available as a free download for iPhone users and listed in the Utilities & Tools section of the App Store.
- Built-in VoIP-to-PSTN support that permits calling over the internet even when the BLE accessory is not connected.
- Extends mobile phone features to iPad and iPod devices, enabling calling, texting and cellular-data–style access from those devices.
- Turns your iPhone into a dual-SIM setup by pairing with a BLE device, providing the convenience of two numbers without a second handset.
- Lets you send and receive SMS, place and accept calls, and use mobile data through the secondary line, mirroring typical SIM functionality.
How it works
SIMPlus pairs with a small BLE device to present a second SIM-like line to your iPhone. When the BLE link is active, your phone behaves as though two SIMs are installed. If the BLE device is out of range or disconnected, the app can route voice services through VoIP with PSTN fallback so you can continue to manage incoming and outgoing calls without interruption.
Who benefits from this
- Travelers who want a local number without removing their home SIM.
- Professionals who need separate personal and business lines on one handset.
- iPad and iPod owners who want full phone-like capabilities without buying a separate cellular device.
