ShareX for Windows

Brief overview

ShareX is a free, open-source utility for capturing and recording your screen. It can take still images or create video/GIF recordings of any portion of your display, and includes a wide range of post-capture tools so you can annotate, edit, and share quickly. The program lives in the system tray for low-profile access and installs without bundled third-party software.

• Auto Capture: records the chosen region repeatedly at set intervals
• Screen recording (GIF): produces silent animated GIFs for quick, lightweight demos
• Screen recording (FFmpeg): records video (with optional audio) and can compress in real time using codecs like x264, VP8, or Xvid

Note: to capture microphone input with the FFmpeg recorder you must have a microphone connected and selected.
