Product summary
Screens 4 is a remote-access application that lets you view and control a PC or Mac from anywhere. Whether you’re relaxing at home or working from a café, the app provides a way to connect to Windows, macOS, Raspberry Pi, or Linux machines so you can pick up tasks, troubleshoot, or maintain systems remotely.
Supported platforms
- macOS
- Windows
- Linux distributions and Raspberry Pi
Core advantages
- Help a friend or family member troubleshoot and configure their computer from your device.
- Perform software updates or maintenance on a machine located far away.
- Continue working on documents or spreadsheets you left open at home.
Performance and security highlights
Screens 4 is designed to be fast and dependable, minimizing lag so remote control feels fluid regardless of distance. It also includes security measures to protect connections and data during remote sessions.
Local network connections
When your iPhone or iPad shares the same network as your Mac (or other target machine), connecting is very simple:
- Open the app’s main screen.
- Tap the plus (+) button.
- A list of available computers on the network appears — select the one you want to access.
Remote access setup
Connecting from outside your local network requires a one-time setup on the computer you want to reach. Install the companion helper (Screens Connect) on that machine; once it’s configured, remote connections are nearly as straightforward as local ones.
Additional enhancements
The app includes thoughtful usability refinements to make navigation and control smoother, and it supports 3D Touch on compatible iPhones for quick actions.
