Overview of Samsung Email for Galaxy Devices

Samsung Email is a built-in mail client on Samsung smartphones and tablets that consolidates multiple email accounts into one place. It supports both personal and work email from a range of providers, and offers extensive settings so you can tailor the app to the way you work.

Supported providers

  • Hotmail and other Microsoft-based accounts
  • Yahoo Mail and similar services
  • Outlook (including Office 365)
  • Gmail and other Google accounts
  • Plus many additional IMAP/POP3-compatible providers

Getting started: adding your first account

  1. Open the Samsung Email app and choose Add account.
  2. Select the type of account you want to add (Hotmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Gmail, etc.).
  3. Enter the requested login credentials and follow any on-screen authentication steps. Note: the exact steps may vary depending on the provider.
  4. Grant any permission requests the app asks for so it can access necessary settings and synchronize properly.

After signing in, you can add more accounts — the app supports multiple addresses so you don’t have to limit yourself.

Synchronization and download settings

  • Configure automatic email sync and choose how often the app checks for new messages.
  • Specify which folders to sync and set limits on attachment or message sizes to control data usage.
  • Adjust sync timing and download size per account to balance immediacy and battery or data consumption.

Composing, attachments and alerts

You can compose and send messages from any account you’ve added. Attaching files stored on your device is supported. Notification alerts are enabled by default for important activity, but you can fully customize or disable them to suit your preferences.

Keeping your mailbox organized

  • Spam (pre-created)
  • Unread (pre-created)
  • Inbox (pre-created)

Create new folders, rename, or rearrange them to keep work and personal messages separated and easy to find.

Unified management for multiple accounts

Samsung Email brings together messages from different services into a single interface, simplifying the management of multiple inboxes. The app’s flexible settings allow you to customize the experience for each account, making it convenient to handle personal and business mail from one place.

Alternative recommendation

If you prefer a third-party option, consider trying a lightweight, free mail app such as Any Mail Free for a different interface and additional features.
