Game snapshot
Saihate Station is a free-to-play indie visual novel for PC from developer びぶ/viv. It combines hand-drawn, anime-inspired character art with a slow-burning psychological horror narrative that centers on the complicated bond between two men. The title is explicitly LGBTQIA+-inclusive and mixes elements of mystery, crime, and dark romance within a JRPG-style, story-first structure.
Plot and protagonists
The story follows two coworkers who were once close but drifted apart: Haru Akinashi and Shion Tatsunami (26). They cross paths again at the mysterious Saihate Station and agree to cooperate in order to find their way home—an agreement that gradually pulls them back toward one another. As their relationship rebuilds, the situation becomes increasingly ambiguous and dangerous, revealing unsettling layers beneath their reunification.
You inhabit the role of Haru, a quiet office worker who often receives his manager’s reprimands, and your choices steer the narrative. Decision points are logic-driven and directly influence how dependent Shion becomes on Haru, as well as which story branches unlock.
