Quick summary
Safire Connect is an iOS app that lets you keep watch over video feeds from your surveillance hardware using an iPhone or iPad. It provides live streaming, remote playback, and device control so you can check cameras and recorded footage whether you’re at home, in the office, or traveling.
Supported hardware
- IP cameras
- Network Video Recorders (NVRs)
- Video encoders
- Digital Video Recorders (DVRs)
Main capabilities
- Instant push alerts when motion or other events are detected
- Remote PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) adjustments and alarm output control where supported
- Direct access to recorded footage and still images stored on your devices
- Global connection via Cloud P2P for easy remote access
- Live viewing and real-time streaming from multiple cameras
How to get connected
- If you prefer plug-and-play remote access, register your devices through the app using the Cloud P2P option.
- Add devices by entering their IP addresses or DNS/domain names when you need a direct network connection.
- If a device sits behind a home or private router, you may need to set up port forwarding or NAT mapping on that router—contact your ISP or follow your router’s documentation for guidance.
- Create a user account in the app, add your devices, and start monitoring live feeds or play back recordings.
Notifications and remote control
The app can push alerts to your iPhone when motion is detected and lets you remotely trigger supported outputs (alarms, sirens) and operate PTZ cameras. These controls make it easier to respond immediately to events or to adjust camera views on demand.
