First impressions
I haven’t watched the newest Resident Evil film yet, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the third entry in the series turns out to be an improvement over the disappointments that came before it.
What the story looks like
From what I’ve read, the premise is bleak: Earth is overrun by the undead and only a small band of survivors remains. They must join forces to fight the horde and try to rescue what's left of humanity.
Who’s driving the action
The group is led by a superhuman heroine, Alice — the role is played by Milla Jovovich — who takes center stage in the struggle against the zombies.
My reaction — hopeful, skeptical
Honestly, I’m not convinced the plot will be strong, but there’s still a chance it surprises me. And yes, the thought of seeing Milla Jovovich in action does make me a little more optimistic.
If the movie disappoints
Even if the film turns out to be another dud, at least you can keep a high‑impact wallpaper of the action heroine on your desktop and enjoy the spectacle without having to sit through the whole movie.
