Promenade is a 2D side-scrolling adventure inspired by classic platformers. You’ll wander through a vibrant world packed with exploration and surprises, accompanied by an unlikely ally: a slimy but useful poulp. This cephalopod companion can aid you in stealthy maneuvers and combat, doubling as a throwable tool that returns like a boomerang.

Mission: repair the ruined lift

The central crisis is clear — the Great Elevator lies in ruins and its crucial cogs are strewn across the landscape. To restore it you’ll need to push into unexplored areas and reclaim those pieces by tackling a variety of challenges, including:

• Brain-teasing puzzles that block progress
• Breakneck races that test your reflexes
• Dangerous dungeons filled with traps and foes

How the game plays

Promenade mixes platforming, combat, and item collection. Your basic movement and interaction set includes:

• Sliding under obstacles
• Ducking to avoid hazards
• Leaping over gaps and onto platforms
• Running to close distances and time jumps
• Throwing and recalling the poulp to stun enemies or trigger switches

The game follows a collect-a-thon progression: gathering cog fragments unlocks doors, lifts, and machines that open up new regions. You’re not required to fetch every cog to finish the story, so you can choose how thorough or breezy you want your playthrough to be.

What to expect: highs and lows

Promenade offers a charming mix of puzzles, enemy encounters, and collectible-driven advancement. The poulp companion adds personality and tactical options, and unlocking new areas feels satisfying as the elevator comes back to life. However, the experience can become repetitive over time, and the game provides only a handful of achievements, which may make long-term goals feel limited.
