One-click entry to Chrome’s plugin page
Plugins is a free Chrome extension that places an icon in your browser toolbar. Clicking that icon opens Chrome’s plugin management page so you can review installed plugins and switch them on or off without typing a URL or navigating through menus.
What it provides
- Instant toolbar access to the browser’s plugin/settings page
- Quick on/off controls for individual plugins
- Option to open the plugin page in either the current tab or a new tab
- Lightweight, no-cost installation and no extra steps after setup
How it works
When installed, the extension adds a small icon beside the address bar. A single click jumps directly to the plugins page (formerly accessed via chrome://plugins), where you can edit your list of plugins and enable or disable entries as needed. You can also change the extension’s behavior so the page opens in a new tab instead of replacing your current tab.
Benefits
Using this extension removes the need to type or remember a special address and saves time when you frequently adjust plugin settings. It keeps plugin management within reach from the toolbar, making routine changes quicker and more convenient.
Additional options
If you need functionality beyond quick plugin access—such as media playback integration—look into alternatives like the free Windows Media Player browser plugin or similar extensions that focus on media handling rather than plugin management.
