What Pixect Is and How It Works

Pixect is a free web-based photo booth that runs in your browser and uses your device’s camera to capture still images and record video. It functions much like a basic camera app: you point, apply a visual style if you want, then take a shot. There is a short pause — roughly three seconds — between pressing the shutter and the picture being taken.

The app also lets you flip the camera view horizontally or vertically before capturing a frame, which is handy for composing shots.

Basic Editing Capabilities and Limits

After taking pictures, you can perform simple adjustments, but advanced retouching is limited:
