Add location information to your photos
Photo GeoTag is a lightweight utility for embedding or correcting GPS metadata in image files. It supports common image formats and is useful when your pictures contain no location data or have inaccurate coordinates. The interface places the photo and a map together in one window so you can see and edit location details visually.
Supported formats
- JPEG files
- PNG images
- TIFF photos
How the editing process works
Open an image and the application displays the picture alongside a map. If the file already includes GPS coordinates, a marker will appear on the map showing its current position. To change the location, click and drag the marker to the new spot — the latitude and longitude tags are updated accordingly. After you finish editing, save the file to write the modified GPS metadata into the image.
Applying one location to many files
When you need to tag multiple pictures with the same coordinates, use the batch mode. Select the group of files, choose the desired position on the map (or enter coordinates directly), and apply the location to all selected images at once. This saves time when many photos were taken at the same place but lack GPS information.
