Overview

OwnVoice Microphone is a free utility from Cat n the Box that converts your mobile device into a usable microphone. It lets you route live audio to a computer, console, or external speaker so you can amplify or record your voice without needing a built-in mic.

Quick start guide

1. Plug an AUX cable between your device and the output (speaker, PC, console).
2. Launch the app and tap the microphone icon to begin capturing sound.
3. Use the in-app volume control to raise or lower the output level.
4. Tap the mic button again to stop streaming audio.

Common uses

• Karaoke and casual singing sessions with friends
• Hands-on voice pickup for online calls or video chats
• Public addressing when you need louder audio for a small audience
• Simple on-the-go recording when a dedicated mic isn't available

Things to keep in mind
