NFC Tools for Android — WAKDEV
NFC Tools by WAKDEV is a complimentary Android application for phones and tablets that enables reading, writing and programming of NFC tags and other compatible NFC chips. The app includes a tag editor and a scheduler so you can automate or store information on physical tags.
Functional modes and what each does
-
Make mode — Build and edit tag actions
Use this mode to assemble tasks for your NFC tags. You can create tasks from scratch or modify existing ones by inserting variables. Tasks are grouped by their intended purpose, such as quick daily actions, automated routines, or simple one-off commands. -
Advanced mode — Conditional and recurring workflows
This mode is for constructing more sophisticated behaviors. You can define conditions, set variables and create complex sequences. Tasks can be organised into time-based groups (examples below) and you may add as many items to each group as you need. -
Record mode — Store basic data on a tag
Record common details into a freeform text field on a tag: addresses, phone numbers, URLs, GPS locations, email addresses, PINs or other personal data.
Time-based grouping examples
- Next month
- Yearly
- For today
- Tomorrow
- Next week
These are examples of categories you can use in Advanced mode to schedule or group tasks by when they should run.
How to write a task and add variables
- Choose the task you want to program on the tag.
- Add a variable by giving it a name and assigning a value. For example: name the variable MyName and set its value to Nancy.
- Save the task and write it to your NFC tag using the app’s write function.
- (Optional) Use the built-in scheduler to trigger tasks at specific times or place them into one of the time-based groups.
If you need step‑by‑step help for a particular task type (URL, phone number, automation, etc.), tell me which one and I’ll provide a short walkthrough.
